NFF Confirms Payment Of Super Eagles’ W/Cup Bonus

All players of the Super Eagles team that was invited for last year’s 2018 World Cup qualifying game in Zambia, have been paid a win bonus of $5,000 per-person, NFF President, Amaju Pinnick has said.

The Eagles defeated Zambia 2-1 at Ndola in October, 2016, and have since after the vital win yet to receive their entitlements from the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF.

Pinnick, who confirmed the payment, revealed that the players are yet to get their appearance bonus for the friendlies against Senegal and Togo.

“I can confirm to you that the team have been paid the bonus for the Zambia match,” Pinnick said.

“We are now looking at the appearance fees for the friendlies against Senegal and Togo.”

The Eagles are entitled to $2,000 each as appearance fee for a friendly.

The Super Eagles are currently in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, ahead of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against South Africa.

A victory against the Bafana Bafana will see each player go home with $5,000.
