NFF Set To Send National Coaches Abroad For Training

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has concluded plans to send Nigerian national team coaches to Europe for internship programs, which will see them learn from top European managers in 2016.

The programme which could last for a week or two, will serve to help coaches who may not have the strong financial muscles to undergo refresher courses abroad.

In an exclusive chat with Completesportsnigeria.com, NFF secretary Dr. Sanusi Mohammed revealed that efforts are in the pipeline to ensure the likes of Sunday Oliseh, Samson Siasia and other national team coaches understudy some of the best coaches in the world once the governing body’s finances are in good shape.

Mohammed said: “We intend to commence the attaché programmes for all national team coaches once we’re able to afford it.

“It is important we keep the coaches abreast with the latest tricks of the game. That programme will commence very soon.”

Under the programme, the home coach would be part of club training as well as undergo scientific training on how to manage and get the best from players and more importantly get themselves abreast with modern trends of the game.
