Nig/Egy Tie: NFF Pleads With Fans Against Violence

Ahead of the Nigeria’s crucial clash against the Pharaohs of Egypt on Friday, the Nigerian Football Federation has appealed to fans against any form of violence.

The appeal which was made by the NFF General Secretary, Dr. Mohammed Sanusi in Abuja on Tuesday, underscored that spectators should not come with any form of weapon.

“We are specially appealing to our football fans not to come with any item that might be seen as a weapon, because security will be very tight on the day,” Sanusi said.

“We also appeal passionately to the fans to co-operate fully with the security agents to make for hitch –free entry into the venue.

“Similarly, we are appealing to the fans to come to the stadium wearing green and white colours. We want the venue proudly adorned in our national colours.”

The Super Eagles led by Coach Samson Siasia, arrived Kaduna on Tuesday afternoon for earnest preparation ahead of the tie.

The game, slated for Friday will be played at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, from 5pm and the return fixture on Tuesday March 29, in Alexandria.
