Nigeria Airforce Jet Crashes, Kills Pilot

A Beetle Aircraft belonging to the Nigerian Airforce crashed on Thursday in Kaduna State, killing the pilot, who was the only one on board, a NAF Spokesperson says.

Air Commodore Olatukumbo Adesanya, Director of Public Relations and Information, NAF, made the disclosure in a statement in Kaduna yesterday.

He explained that the deceased is an instructor pilot of the NAF, adding that the cause of the incident was unknown.

Adesanya however said the Chief of Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sadiq Abubakar, had ordered an investigation into the cause of the crash.

“The unfortunate incident is a tragic reminder of the hazards associated with the flying profession.

“The CAS and the entire NAF family commiserate with the relatives of the late instructor pilot.”
