Nigeria’s Unity Paramount To Economic Growth, Osinbajo Says

The Acting President, Yemi Osinbajo, has reiterated his stance that the unity of Nigeria is not negotiable.

Speaking at the palace of the Emir of Gusau, Ibrahim Bello, as part of his one-day visit to Zamfara, Osinbajo said the unity of the country will transform to economic recovery and growth.

According to the Acting President, the nation’s economy is moving towards becoming one of the 15 largest economies in the world, adding that the feat can only become a reality through “unity and hardwork”.

He said: “Our diversity as a people united is also our potential to transform our large deposits of mineral resources and use same for national development.’’

The acting president commended the effort of security agencies in the country in maintaining law and order.

While receiving the acting president, Mr. Bello commended the federal government for deploying security officials to maintain peace in Zamfara.

Osinbajo was accompanied on the visit by the governor Abubakar Bagudu of Kebbi and Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto states.
