NYSC To Begin Deployment Of Corps Members To IDPs Camps

The National Youth Services Corp (NYSC) is set to deploy Doctors, Nurses and other medical Corps members to all the major Internally Displaced Persons, IDPs camps across the country.

The Director General of the Corp, Brigadier General Suleiman Zakari Kazaure who disclosed this to newsmen on Thursday, in Yola at the Damare IDPs camp, stated that henceforth Youth Corp members will be deployed to all the IDPs camps to help them in their day to day activities.

The NYSC Director-General while on his maiden visit to the Adamawa State Directorate of the Corp, further stated that the move is to solve the present medical challenges facing the camps.

He also urged Nigerians to complement government efforts in alleviating the sufferings of the IDPs noting that the cruel fate that befell them was not their making.

While flagging off the distribution of food materials and various drugs, General Kazaure commended his predecessor for their efforts in ensuring that the youth Corps members were involved in vocational activities

According to him, the vocational training occasioned the production of 700 bags of locally produced rice which he donated to the displaced persons in the state.
