Olisa Metuh’s Trial: Produce Dasuki In Court, Appeal Court Orders DSS

A Court of Appeal in Abuja, on Friday, ordered the Department of State Service, DSS, to produce the detained former National Security Adviser, Col. Sambo Dasuki (retd) before a Federal High Court in Abuja.

The court ordered that the embattled ex-NSA be brought to enable him testify in defense of a former National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, Chief Olisa Metuh.

Metuh’s lawyers had argued that Dasuki was a required witness since the money their client was accused of mismanaging came from his office.

In a unanimous judgement delivered by a three-man panel, the court said the Abuja Division of the Federal High Court presided by Okon Abang was wrong to have regarded Dasuki as a “non-compellable’ witness in the matter.

Justice Peter Ige who prepared and read the lead judgement of the Appeal Court thereby ruled that the DSS must produce Dasuki in court.
