Oliseh and Enyeama in Bust-up

Ahead of the Super Eagles friendly match against the DR Congo, Coach Sunday Oliseh and his team’s Captain Vincent Enyeama, had a misunderstanding which resulted in the goalkeeper being ordered out of camp.

The arrival of Enyeama to Belgium which ordinarily should bring cheers to the camp, rather turned the camp into a war zone, following allegations of anti-camp activities against the captain.

A reliable source told Channels TV, that Enyeama who joined the team on Tuesday, had questioned Coach Oliseh’s choice of naming Ahmed Musa captain for the friendly games against DR Congo and Cameroon.

The Super Eagles coach was upset and asked him to leave the team’s hotel immediately, a situation which allegedly forced the coach to call in the security to bundle Enyeama out.

However, the issue was quickly re- solved thanks to the intervention of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).
Speaking to Channels Sports, the NFF President, Amaju Pinnick said he had spoken with both parties, and that the matter was resolved.

He also confirmed that Enyeama will remain in camp.

“When I heard of the situation, I called Coach Sunday Oliseh and he confirmed he told Vincent to leave the team hotel. Yes, there was a misunderstanding but the matter has been resolved and Enyeama will stay in camp,” he said.
