Omokri To Buhari: Hunger is Inevitable When A French Graduate Is Agric Minister

Former Media Assistant to ex-Nigerian President, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri, has once again knocked President Muhammadu Buhari for hiring “weak” hands while forming his cabinet.

According to the ex-Presidential aide, it was a misnomer and invitation to famine when Buhari appointed Audu Ogbeh, who holds a masters degree in French, as Minister of Agriculture.

Omokri further slammed the President for allegedly appointing an inexperienced Finance Minister when the country has well trained professionals who can man such a delicate position.

He added that the President would rather concentrate on reading and watching cartoons on the covers of newspapers rather than paying attention to the business of governance.

“When you have someone who graduated with a BSc from a polytechnic (University of East London was a polytechnic at the time Kemi Adeosun attended and it was only upgraded to university status in 1992) as your finance minister in a country that has highly educated, skilled and experienced hands from every part of the nation, what you are begging for is a recession,” Omokri wrote on his Facebook page.

“When you combine it with a minister of agriculture who read French you are inviting famine.

“However, it is not from my mouth you will hear what will happen when you have a President who, during a recession, prioritizes reading cartoons over other serious issues in a newspaper.”
