The Ondo state governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mr. Rotimi Akeredolu, has indicated that Sen. Bola Ahmed Tinubu has accepted defeat and moved on after his candidate lost to him during the party’s primaries in Ondo.

Recall that the self-acclaimed National Leader of the party had endorsed Olusegun Abraham ahead of the primaries, but who lost to Akeredolu the preferred candidate of John Odigie-Oyegun by 669 votes.

Akeredolu, while expressing optimism to come out victorious during the upcoming Ondo polls, noted that Tinubu did not only concede defeat to him, but that they have a good relationship as well.

“l can always tell you, people who know me, they know that I talk most times with some confidence, let me assure you here that by the grace of God, we will win the election in Ondo state,’’ Akeredolu told State House correspondents.

“I don’t have any rift with him, since the primaries you would see that as leaders of the party,he has not said anything about it, he has accepted the primaries and we are moving on.

“So, I don’t have any rift with him at all and we are moving on.”
