This followed the deadlocked meetings of the Committee over the shortfall in revenue remitted by the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation to the federation account.

According to reports, the crucial monthly FAAC meeting ended in deadlock due to the inability of the NNPC to present agreeable returns to Committee.

Ortom assured workers in the state that their salaries will be paid immediately after the resolution issues are agreed.

According to him, Pay Vouchers were ready and payment would be done without delay when the allocation comes.

The Governor said, “Issues of payment of salary arrears and insecurity in the state would be a thing of the past with time, nothing is impossible before God.”

Speaking further, Ortom stated that those behind killings in the state will not go unpunished.

“God’s judgment would surely be pronounced upon mischief makers in the country when the blood of those killed by militia herdsmen cry to God,” he said.

Ortom said he was proud of the Benue youths, adding that Nigeria and indeed Africa is being evangelised through them.
