Outrage As Dana Air’s Exit Door Pulls Off With Passengers Aboard
Nigerians have taken to social media to vent their frustrations after the exit door of a Dana Airline flying from Lagos to Abuja fell upon landing.
Some passengers on the airline, who disclosed the scary experience, said the door was lose all through the flight.
Though no life was lost nor any passenger hurt, the incident didn’t go down well with Nigerians, adding to the fact that about 153 people died after Dana Air Flight 992 crashed in 2012.
The crash of Flight 992 is the second-deadliest aircraft crash on Nigerian soil, behind the Kano air disaster of 1973.
See reactions below;
Only reason Dana were bold enough to recklessly endanger the lives of their passengers is because they know that, rather than hold them accountable, the average Nigerian would rather just call it a miracle and give a testimony in church.

Flew Dana. Exit door was unstable throughout the flight. As we touched down it fell off. Scary stuff. pic.twitter.com/eDtTlNi2TZ

Every single person on that Dana flight should sue.

Abeg
If there is a class action lawsuit against Dana for gross negligence and endangering the lives of passengers. I want in, I also was on that flight : 25d : The Door Panel was loose indicative of lack of maintenance. pic.twitter.com/TzDWnGboGJ

It was really terrible. It was like traveling with a molue in the early 90s. Dana Air needs to carry out a comprehensive audit of her fleet and the maintenance status. If that hatch had opened mid air. We’d have lost cabin pressure, oxygen and surely have gone down. #terrible

Dana Air has 4 active aircrafts in its fleet.
Their newest aircraft is 26 years old.
The oldest is 33 years.Aircrafts this old are mainly used for cargo.

This is inexcusable. Super glad that this did not happen mid-air and that you are all safe. For now, I will stop flying Dana Air.

I never use them. Within the country,,,,I’m cool with Air peace

The N in Nigeria stands for Negligence

@hadisirika The ministry of Aviation is under your watch. This sad incident was reported by a tweeter user. @DanaAir should be thoroughly investigated and the necessary sanction should be applied. What if the door issue led to an air mishap by now the nation will be mourning.

This Dana Air exit door that came off soon after landing is just another plane crash that has been miraculously averted.
In another country, there would be an inquest. Possibly suspension of Dana’s license.

The other day it was Aero Contractor’s use of Ladder to disembark passengers, today it’s Dana Air loosed door?
Nigeria airlines obviously don’t value LIVES. pic.twitter.com/VcpsLkwCFa

That Dana accident had nothing to do with anything other than negligence. A door like that doesn’t just fall, it cries, tweaks and begs for attention for weeks before it finally falls. Dana endangered lives “managing it” like some manage their car breaks till something happens.

Dana is officially cancelled

This Dana incidence is worse than a Danfo bus. A Danfo driver will never watch and see his door giving signs for repairs and neglect till it falls off.

I seriously don’t know why Dana Air is still in this country. Our government should do something about them
— Mumus Lounge (MLTV) (@mumuslounge) February 7, 2018
The people in that Dana flight should be thanking God that door didn’t fly off at 30,000ft.
My Goodness!

Nigeria is messed up! How can you justify an airplane door falling off. We would all be mourning a plane crash if this happened in the air and there’s no inquest or sanction for Dana. How?
— Anda Paul (@LazyWrita) February 7, 2018
Is anyone suing please?
Is anyone going to take this up and not rest until Dana pays?
I am tired of informative tweets, catchy headlines without someone being punished!!— INTEGRITY. (@stevead64) February 7, 2018
Dana Airline is the New Molue.

If you’re still wondering why we’re so far behind in all indices of human development, remember that
1. Imbeciles are defending statutory rape in the name of child marriage.
2. Another imbecile is defending Dana Air and their decrepit aircrafts.— The Iconoclast (@jahneduibekwelu) February 7, 2018
