Odili described the doctor’s quarters as the best in the country.

“Our super action governor has done it again, your Excellency it is very very difficult to find the appropriate words to describe your commitment, your passion and your capacity to march your words with your actions,” Odili said in parts.

“When you declared your scorecard I counted not less than 17 primary healthcare centres that have been rehabilitated, 12 general hospitals that have been completely rebuilt and the ultramodern unprecedented Mother and Child hospital. You have transformed Braithwaite Memorial Hospital to a teaching hospital.

“Permit me in agreement with the Chairman of NMA in River State in acknowledging that starting the faculty of medicine in the state university is going to be one of your greatest pillars of foundation for making Rivers State a new hub in the health sector.

“Under you (Wike’s administration), the first private university started in Rivers state and in acknowledgment of the fact that it is a specialized university, you have taken a step that none of your predecessors including me have taken for the state by sponsoring a hundred Rivers students to study medical sciences; if you extrapolate on that and project over the next 5 – 6 years, Rivers state will become the new medical hub for medical tourism in Nigeria,” he added.

The ex-Rivers governor thanked the governor for the honour of inviting him to commission the project.
