Philippines radical president, Rodrigo Duterte, has set tongues wagging after his rude and sexist remark to troops in the country.
Duterte, who served as a city mayor before becoming President, appeared to encourage Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) to shoot at female rebels in the Asian country in their private parts.
He has ordered his soldiers to specifically shoot the rebel fighters in their vaginas, instead of killing them because without one they ‘would be useless’.
The 72-year-old veteran leader gave this order while addressing over 200 former communist soldiers in Malacañang last week, according Aljazeera,
He said: “there’s a new order coming from the mayor, We will not kill you. We will just shoot you in the vagina.’’
The Human Rights Watch group has condemned the president’s comments, describing them as ‘misogynist, derogatory and demeaning’ saying it was just the latest in a series of misogynist, derogatory and demeaning statements he has made about women.
