Police Shut Wuse Market, Bar Charlie Boy From Public Places

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command, on Tuesday, ordered the immediate closure of popular Abuja Wuse Market.

The order comes after a mob attacked the Charlie Boy-led ‘Our Mumu Don Do’ protesters in the market.

The group had launched the ‘Resume or Resign’ campaign against President Muhmmadu Buhari who has been on medical vacation in London for exactly 100 days today.

Meanwhile, there are indications that Charlie Boy may be barred from taking his subsequent protests public owing to the event that led to closure of the market.

A source close to the police told The WHISTLER that Charlie Boy will be barred so as to avoid a re-occurrence of what ensued at Wuse market.

The police have since deployed its personnel and equipment to the market to calm tensions.
