Men of the Nigerian Police Force are currently stationed at the headquarters of the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) in Abuja, as workers continue to protest the reinstatement of the Executive Secretary, Usman Yusuf.

The officers arrived the office premises on Monday morning, as workers were said to be planning a major protest against the troubled Executive Secretary.

An eye witness confirmed to THE WHISTLER that the police men were stationed at the premises of the headquarters and along the road in the area.

Recall that Yusuf, who was facing suspension for alleged misconduct and fraud of N919 million, was last week recalled by President Muhammadu Buhari.

The NHIS boss’ recall had drawn condemnations from different quarters, with some critics questioning the genuineness of the president’s anti-corruption campaign.
