The Presidency has reiterated that the anti-corruption campaign of President Muhammadu Buhari will go on despite criticisms from top government officials.

This came as a direct response to senators of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), insisting that the anti-corruption campaign of President Muhammadu Buhari is a witch hunt on them.

The Presidency through its spokesman, Mr Femi Adeshina insisted that the anti-corruption campaign of President Muhammadu Buhari is one of the key objectives of this administration and must continue, he also said that it is normal for the guilty to be sacred.

“It is only the guilty that can be afraid. If anybody is not guilty, they should not be afraid. This president will not witch-hunt anybody. But is anyone has skelton in his cupboard, he has every right to be afraid.

“If they don’t have skeltons in their cupboard, they have no cause to be afraid but anybody that has any skelton in his cupboard has every right to be afraid.

“War against corruption is one of the cardinal objectives of this administration and the war will not hold on because some people are afraid.

“The war will continue, no matter whose ox is gored, so, if anybody has skelton in his cupboard, yes, he has a right to be afraid but the war is not targeted at anybody.”
