Primate Ayodele Blasts Obasanjo, ‘You Introduced Church Corruption’

Primate Babatunde Elijah Ayodele of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church has slammed ex-Nigerian President, Olusegun Obasanjo over comments he made about corruption in Nigerian churches.
Obasanjo had earlier said that church leaders encourage corruption in Nigeria.
But Ayodele, who described Obsanjo as the father of corruption, credited fraud within churches to the former president.

This, the primate said, while reacting to questions from The Sun at his Oke-Afa church in Lagos State.
“It was Obasanjo himself who introduced corruption into the church when he invited eminent politicians and personalities into his church in Ogun State, to donate heavily to the church.
“So, he has no moral right to condemn men of God, saying they encourage corruption.
“The former president should just keep quiet on the issue of corruption, because he is corrupt and has corrupted the church,” the cleric said.
