Juventus legendary goalkeeper, Gianluigi Buffon, has written a letter to his goal post after he broke the all-time record for the longest time without conceding a goal in the Italian Serie A.
The 38-year-old, who reached 974 minutes before he was beaten, broke former AC Milan goalkeeper, Sebastiano Rossi’s record (929) in Juventus 4-1 derby win over Torino.
Buffon, who played in midfield up until he was 12, reflected on his long relationship with his ‘goal’ and expressed his feelings.
The letter, which was written in Italian, was translated in English by a sport pundit, Italian football writer James Horncastle.
