Refusal To Partake In Illegal Activities Reason For My Sack – Oliseh

Sunday Oliseh has reacted to his sack as head coach of Dutch second division, Fortuna Sittard.

The Super Eagles legend claimed that his refusal to join the club’s hierarchy in illegal activities was the reason for his ‘suspension’ as head coach.

The club had announced on their official website on Wednesday that they had asked Oliseh to step aside, following the 43-year-old’s “repeated blameworthy attitude, which saw him fallout with players and officials of the club.”

But the Tunisia ’94 Africa Cup of Nations winner while denying the allegations wrote on his Twitter page: “I confirm: Due to my refusal to participate in Illegal activities at Fortuna sittard & violate the Law, I have been Suspended from my duties as Coach by the Foreign Owners of Fortuna.

“Unfortunate for the lovely fans, my players & our hard fought phenomenal positioning for Promotion”

The 43-year-old former Juventus midfielder became a cult hero at Fortuna Sittard Stadium, after helping the club escape relegation last season.
