President Muhammadu Buhari has, on Sunday, departed Abuja to attend the 72nd session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, United States.
The presidency had announced on Friday that Buhari will be joining other world leaders to participate in the General Debate of the UNGA 72.
This year’s debate has been themed: “Focusing on People: Striving for Peace and a Decent Life for all on a Sustainable Planet”.
Presidential spokesman, Femi Adesina, had disclosed that “President Buhari will transit through London on his way back to the country”.
Adesina, however, did not disclose how long Buhari will be staying this time in the United Kingdom.
Buhari, who had during his last visit to London spent over 100 days on medical vacation, barely stayed one month in the country before his departure today.
Accompanying the president for the UNGA 72 are: “The governors of Zamfara, Ebonyi and Ondo states, and key cabinet ministers,” Adesina had said.
