Ronaldo Rules Out Real Madrid Exit, Says He Wants To Win More Trophies

Cristiano Ronaldo has finally broken his silence over a possible exit from Spanish champions, Real Madrid.

Speaking to Spanish newspaper Marca on Monday, the Portuguese, who was linked with a shocking move to Manchester United, revealed he wants to remain at the Santiago Bernabeau next season.

The World Player of the Year was reportedly frustrated in Spain and wanted to quit Real after allegations of tax fraud were brought against him by the Spanish tax authority.

“Winning major trophies with my club last year was great, just like the individual trophies,” he said.

“Doing it again would be fine.

“You have to work hard, year after year; I will continue to do it. Football is my life, it is my passion,” the 33-year-old added.

Meanwhile, the Champions league winners have nevertheless had a busy transfer window already this summer.

The club signed young defender Theo Hernández from Atletico Madrid for €30m, and spent a further €17m on Real Betis midfielder Dani Ceballos.

They made over €100m by selling the likes of Alvaro Morata, Danilo, Mariano, Diego Llorente and Burgui.
