Sade Adu’s Song Used In New Disney Movie

Nigerian–British soul singer, Folasade Adu’s new single, ‘Flower of the universe’, is the soundtrack of an upcoming Disney movie, ‘A Wrinkle in Time’

The song will be the first new music from Sade since her band released its sixth album ‘Soldier of Love’ in 2010.

‘A Wrinkle in Time’ is a 2018 American science fantasy adventure film directed by Ava DuVernay from a screenplay by Jennifer Lee and Jeff Stockwell, based on the 1962 novel of the same name by Madeleine L’Engle.

The movie follows a young girl who, with the help of three astral travelers, sets off on a quest to find her father, who went missing after discovering a new planet.

The film, starring Oprah Winfrey, Reese Witherspoon and Mindy Kaling, is set for release on March 9, 2018. The soundtrack also features songs by Demi Lovato, Sia, and Kehlani.

Adu is a composer, arranger and record producer. Backed by members Paul S. Denman, Andrew Hale and Stuart Matthewman, she gained worldwide fame as the lead vocalist of the English band Sade.
