Spending thousands of dollars on a smartphone seems like an outrageous thing to do for many—unless you’re in the business of keeping your information super-secure.

That’s why Sirin Labs, a new company that’s aiming for more futuristic tech solutions, has revealed what it calls “the world’s first truly smart phone.” The SOLARIN aims to keep privacy at the forefront of mobile technology by targeting the international business consumer who walks around with a great deal of private information on his or her devices. The phone provides security solutions but doesn’t compromise on usability, quality or design. After two years of research and development at facilities in Sweden and Tel Aviv, Sirin Labs has finally revealed the phone, which contains over 2,500 inner components.

“We do not accept that price drives what’s available in technology. With SOLARIN, we break the rules,” said Moshe Hogeg, President and Co-founder of Sirin Labs.

The phone integrates a chip-to-chip 256-bit AES encryption, the same technology that militaries around the world use to protect their communications, offering the strongest possible mobile privacy protection worldwide. The security features are activated by the “Security Switch” on the back of the handset, which causes the phone to switch to a shielded mode and presents an exclusive suite for fully encrypted calls and messages.
