Residents of Sokoto state, on Thursday, called on former President Goodluck Jonathan to come back to office.
They made the call when Jonathan visited the state to pay a condolence visit to the family of the late Sultan of Sokoto, Ibrahim Dasuki.
Recall that the former sultan died at 93, on Monday and was buried on Tuesday, according to Muslim rites.
Jonathan described the late Sultan Ibrahim Dasuki as a nationalist and a patriot par excellence, adding that he worked and died as a peace maker and a bridge builder.
“He worked tirelessly to ensure lasting peace and unity in Nigeria, while without peace and unity there will be no development,” he said
Upon Jonathan’s arrival in the state, some residents were seen carrying placards with the inscription “Come back baba Jonathan”.
