Speaker Dogara Meets Pope Francis In Rome

Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, on Thursday, expressed delight after meeting with Pope Francis in Rome, Italy.

Dogara took to his official twitter handle (@YakubDogara) to share photos of his meeting with the Pope.

The speaker said the head of the Catholic Church worldwide told him he was aware of happenings in Nigeria and was praying for the country.

“Today, I had the great honour of meeting His Holiness, Pope Francis. I was pleasantly surprised to find that he is well informed about happenings in Nigeria and prays for peace in the country,” Dogara tweeted.
