Manchester United’s 100 percent start to the new Premier League season came to an end on Saturday after playing out a 2-2 draw against Stoke City.
Summer signing Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting scored twice as the Potters ensured Jose Mourinho’s side dropped points for the first time this season.
Choupo-Moting put Stoke ahead in the 43rd minute, finishing powerfully after a fine team display to put the home side in front.
It was the first goal united had conceded in 535 minutes of league football, a run stretching back to last season.
Marcus Rashford levelled proceedings two minutes later after a Paul Pogba header came off the back of the Englishman and found the back corner.
Romelu Lukaku put the Red Devils in front shortly after the break but Choupo-Moting levelled in the 63rd minute, heading in Xherdan Shaqiri’s corner at the back post.
Lukaku’s goal matched a United milestone which some of their best strikers in recent years also achieved. It was his fourth in four matches for United.
4 – No player has scored more goals in their first 4 PL games for @ManUtd than Lukaku (4, same as Saha, van Persie & Ibrahimovic). Impact.

Stoke goalkeeper Butland produced a brilliant save late in the game to deny the visitors all three points.
The result takes United top of the table on goal difference from Manchester City.
