Sule Lamido’s Son Suspended As District Head Over Corruption Charges

The Emir of Dutse, Alhaji Muhammadu Nuhu Sunusi, has suspended Alhaji Mustapha Sule Lamido, the son of the former Governor of Jigawa State, Sule Lamido, as the District Head of Bamaina over corruption charges levelled against him.

This was contained in a letter addressed to him and dated January 31st 2016.

According to the letter which was written in Hausa language, Lamido was suspended as the District Head of Bamaina in Birin Kudu Local Government Area (LGA) because of his standing trial at the Federal Court for corruption.

The letter also noted that Lamido was found guilty of negligence to traditional responsibility and gross misconduct, following his inability to pay back the money of a business personality who paid through him to go to Saudi Arabia.
