Super Eagles Jersey Sold Out In London

The new Super Eagles Nike jerseys were sold-out on the first day of release as desperate fans filled Oxford Street in London, to get their hands on the World Cup kits.

The kit went on sale in Nigeria on May 29 and hit the stores in other countries on June 1.

Hundreds of supporters had queued outside London’s Nike Town store upon its release on Friday as Nike said it had received three million pre-orders for the £64.95 (N31,241.30) shirt, prior to its release.

According to Daily Mail UK, more than a hundred people queued outside the Nike shop, spilling to the street corner, but it sold out just moments after going on sale.

The home shirt has been labelled as one of the best kits of all time by the Mirror UK.

Fans and Supporters will get a chance to see the kit as Eagles face the Three Lions of England in a friendly at Wembley Stadium on June 2.

The Nigerian team will also play the Czech Republic in a final pre-World Cup friendly on June 6, after which the Eagles will fly into Russia on June 11.

Coach Gernot Rohr’s men will face Croatia in their first match on June 16, trade tackles with Iceland in Volgograd on June 22 and take on Argentina four days later in the last game of Group D.
