Super Eagles Rise In Latest FIFA Ranking

The Super Eagles of Nigeria have moved up two places to 38th position, in the latest FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking released by the world football governing body on Thursday.

Gernot Rohr’s side who were ranked 40th in the previous month are now the fourth best team in Africa behind the trio of Egypt, Senegal and Cameroon.

The Eagles are yet to lose a game since Rohr took charge of the team, with their last defeat a 1-0 AFCON qualifier game against Egypt in Alexandria.

The three-time African champions face 65th placed South Africa next month for the 2019 AFCON qualifier.

Meanwhile, the top ten global rankings remain unchanged with, Brazil, Argentina and Germany the top three teams in the world, followed by Chile and Colombia.

France, Belgium, Portugal, Switzerland and Spain, complete the top 10 respectively.

The next FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking is set for July 6.
