Suspended Director-General of National Intelligence Agency, Ambassador Ayo Oke, on Wednesday broke down in tears after security barred him from entering the Presidential Villa.
The NIA DG had run to Aso Rock shortly after the announcement of his suspension by President Muhammadu Buhari.
Oke made attempts to seek an audience with Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo but was turned back.
Mr Oke was suspended following claims that the $43m discovered by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) at Osborne Towers, Ikoyi, Lagos belonged to the agency.
