EFCC Grills NHIS Managers Over N919m ‘Fraud’

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has summoned some contractors of the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) after grilling managers of the scheme on Monday. The NHIS managers were quizzed over an alleged N919 million fraud perpetrated under the watch of its Executive Secretary, Usman Yusuf. Monkeypox Cases Rise To 74

The Monkeypox virus outbreak has spread to 11 states with 74 suspected cases recorded, Minister of Health Prof. Isaac Adewole has said. Adewole made the disclosure in Abuja on Wednesday when he briefed State House correspondents on the outcome of the meeting of the Federal Executive Council. President Muhammadu Buhari chaired the meeting held at the State House Council Chamber, Abuja. BREAKING: Health Minister Confirms 3 Cases Of Monkeypox

The Minister of Health, Prof. Isaac Adewole, has confirmed three cases of monkeypox virus from the 13 suspected cases reported from Bayelsa State in September. The confirmation is the final report from the analysis of the samples which were taken to the World Health Organisation, WHO, laboratory in Dakar, capital city of Senegal.
