The Niger Delta Avengers has said that it will intensify attacks on oil pipelines in the Niger delta region if the federal government fails to meet its demands.
The resurgent militant group, while speaking with a BBC reporter, dismissed insinuation that it is a terrorist group.
According to them, their fight was not out of selfish motives, but for the betterment of the oil rich region.

The group which has claimed responsibility for several attacks on crude oil installation in the Delta region said, “We have carried out a lot of attacks on pipelines, stations and platforms.
“We are not terrorist, we are only fighting for our right, we have been taken for granted and enslaved for many years and now enough is enough.
“We are not fighting for selfish purpose, we are doing it so that our communities will be developed.
Warning that if the Federal Government fails to meet their needs, the Avengers said, “Things will get worst, it’s better for the country to divide so we know where we belong.”
