Tinubu Brain Behind Nigeria’s Economic Recovery Template – Adeosun

Nigeria’s Finance Minister, Kemi Adeosun, has said the economic template being implemented to foster the country’s economic growth is a brainchild of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Adeosun said this, Tuesday, at the colloquium organised in celebration of the 65th birthday of the national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
According to the minister, the template is being implemented at the federal level following its successful adoption by the Lagos State Government

“The economic template we copied from you is now being implemented for the economic recovery of the country and we are not ashamed to say it,” Adeosun said.
“The impact of that template is that many of the states are now copying it, especially in the area of Internally Generated Revenue (IGR).”
While noting that the template worked in Lagos because the state had an effective tax mechanism in place, Adeosun stated that the Federal Government will stop at nothing to ensure collection of its rightful tax from its citizens.
“We need to support the economy with the infrastructure needed to create jobs for our young people. We will change Nigeria by consuming what we make for Nigeria to survive,” she added.
