Former Arsenal Captain, Cesc Fabregas has said he does not want Tottenham to win this season’s English Premier League title.

The 28-year-old was a guest pundit at Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football programme as Tottenham thrashed Stoke 4-0 to move within five points of log leaders Leicester.

The Chelsea midfielder was quizzed on a range of topics, and when asked whether the Foxes would claim their very first Premier League trophy or if Spurs would eventually overtake them and steal the prize, the Spaniard said; “Hopefully not! I don’t want Spurs to win it.

“For what has happened through the season, I would love Leicester to win the Premier League.

“I think Spurs are pushing as hard as they can to get as close to them as possible, but I think Leicester will win it and deservedly so.

Fabregas, who spent 8-years at Arsenal before moving to Barcelona admitted he is still an Arsenal fan at heart, as both the Gunners and Tottenham who are located next to each other at North London are said to have a long history of hostility.
