Twitter has upped its Graphic Interchange Format (GIF) size limit to 15MB, three times larger than its old 5MB limit.
Though there has been no official announcement, but the updated Twitter help page now reads, “Photos can be up to 5MB; animated GIFs can be up to 5MB on mobile, and up to 15MB on web.”
The change only pertains to the web version of Twitter — on mobile, the GIF limit is still 5MB. The microblogging platform is yet to indicate whether this will come to the mobile version of the site or not.

This is the latest in a series of welcome changes that Twitter is making. . In May, the company started counting images, polls and user names separately from its 140-character tweet limit
In June, Twitter started supporting videos up to 140 seconds in length.
