Utomi To Buhari, “Your Gov’t, Not Previous Administration Responsible For Recession”
A professor and economic expert, Pat Utomi has said that the administration of President Muhummadu Buhari, not previous government, is to be blamed for the economic hardship currently ravaging the country.
Utomi equally described those attributing economic hardship in the country to fall in oil price as “bad managers”.
This, the professor said, during a programme at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Anambra state.
“Our major problem is that we lack planning and budget discipline,” said Utomi.

“In beginning of a budgeting process, it must be matched with where the people are going; but beyond revenue and expenditure, budget has to do with discipline and execution.
“Those blaming fall in oil price were just bad managers. That was not the cause of this recession,” he said.
