Vote Fayemi Because He’s Buhari’s Friend, Tinubu Tells Ekiti People

The National leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, on Tuesday, urged electorates in Ekiti to vote Dr Kayode Fayemi in the state’s upcoming gubernatorial election because ‘‘he is a friend of the president’’.

Speaking at APC’s mega rally held for the party’s governorship flag bearer in Ado-Ekiti, Tinubu urged eligible voters in the state to ensure they get their Permanent Voters Card (PVC) to enable them kick out the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and join the ‘‘broom revolution’’.

Fayemi, who recently resigned from President Muhammadu Buhari’s cabinet as mines and steel minister, will be contending majorly against Professor Kolapo Olusola of the PDP.

Tinubu said at the former minister’s rally, “What is the value of your stay here if you have no Permanent Voters registration Card (PVC)? That is your red card. On Election Day, that is when you will give PDP red card.

“This is a broom revolution. When I say APC, you say change. This is the only place where change is necessary. After that, what next, when we say APC, you say progress.

“Fayemi is your son. He is a friend of the President, vote Fayemi 100%,” he said.
