Wenger Rules Out Sale Of Ozil, Sanchez

*Optimistic The Duo Will Extend Contract

Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger has ruled out the sale of star players Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez, stating that they will remain at the Emirate Stadium till the end of their contract.

According to the Frenchman neither Ozil nor Sanchez will be sold, even if they fail to agree contract extensions.

The duo are approaching the final 18 months of their contracts and the manager believes that the club will keep both players beyond 2018.

Speaking ahead of Saturday’s game against Stoke, the Arsenal boss said: “No matter what happens they will stay for 18 months and hopefully for much longer.”

Wenger also confirmed Sanchez’s reported £400,000 per-week offer from China.

“Why should you go to China today when you play in England?”

Asked if the ongoing talks might have an affect the Arsenal dressing-room he said Ozil and Sanchez remain “completely committed”, adding: “We are professionals – 18 months is a long time in the game and I don’t believe that is a problem.”

“It’s normal to negotiate. The less you talk about it the better it is.”

Second place Arsenal host Stoke City in the English Premier League at the Emirate Stadium on Saturday as they look to pile more pressure on league leaders Chelsea.
