Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, on Tuesday, appointed Former Super Eagles Captain, Joseph Yobo as Senior Special Assistant on Sports Development to the Governor.
This was contained in a statement signed by his Special Assistant on Electronic Media, Simeon Nwakaudu.
The governor also appointed Mr Chibuzor Aholu as Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Financial Matters.

The statement noted that both appointments take immediate effect.
Yobo is Nigeria’s record title appearance, with 101 caps.
Recall that Yobo, on May 27th, commemorated his exit from the Nigerian national team with a testimonial match tagged ‘The Joseph Yobo Centenary Game’.
