World Bank Invests $25 Million On Rural Roads In Abia

Abia, alongside 16 other Nigerian states, is set to benefit from World Bank’s $500 million Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (RAAMP).

Dr. John Chibunna, the Abia state Project Coordinator for the programme, said in Umuahia that the state will get $25 million from the said sum.

“The World Bank will use the $25 million to develop rural roads in Abia,” Chibunna said.

He also disclosed that Anambra, Akwa Ibom and Cross River are among benefiting states that would participate in the programme.

Chibunna lauded Governor Okezie Ikpeazu for playing a key role in ensuring that Abia was selected for the programme.
