World Cup Qualifier: Oliseh To Announce Squad This Week

Ahead of next month’s 2018 World Cup qualifier against Swaziland, Super Eagles head coach, Sunday Oliseh is expected to release a 24-man squad this week to represent Nigeria.

The 41 year old who missed last weekend’s CHAN qualifier against Burkina Faso due to illness, is expected to resume in the first week of November.

According to Completesportsnigeria.com, the former Super Eagles captain, will invite six-home based players to the squad, to include defenders Chima Akas, Austin Oborakpo and Jamiu Alimi.

Speaking to Completesportsnigeria.com, a source from the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), said: “We expect the coach to send us his squad list for the all-important games next month, this week.

With the retirement of former Eagles skipper, Vincent Enyeama and striker Emmanuel Emenike, some Nigerian’s are eager see how Oliseh will replace these key figures in his team.
