‘You’re A Common Criminal’, Tony Nwoye Slams Gov. Obiano

Dr. Tony Nwoye, a member of the Federal House of Representatives representing the people of Anambra East/West constituency of Anambra state, and governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has slammed Governor Willie Obiano, describing him as a “common criminal”.

Nwoye, who recently spoke in Igbo language at a gathering of Ndi Anambra, criticised Governor Obiano’s alleged poor management of state resources.

Part of his speech can be loosely translated, “The reason I am contesting the governorship election, I would have supported him (Obiano) but my brother (Obiano) who is stealing has refused to heed my advice to stop stealing”

Dr. Nwoye further claimed he has evidence on the amount stolen by Gov. Obiano and his Wife, and challenged Governor Obiano to dispute his claims.

While he acknowledged Obiano as his brother, Nwoye however said the people of Anambra cannot afford to undergo another four years of severe suffering due to the governor’s alleged incompetence.

The governorship aspirant decried the socio-economic stagnation in Anambra State due to Obiano’s alleged misappropriation of funds and lack of capacity for development in the state.
