‘You’re Greedy, Corrupt’, Fani-Kayode Blasts Buhari For Signing N648bn Oil Deals From His Sick Bed

Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has lambasted President Muhammadu Buhari for allegedly signing some oil contracts worth N648billion while he was on medical vacation in the United Kingdom.

The Group Managing Director, GMD, Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, Maikanti Baru, had indicated that Buhari was granting approvals for oil deals to the Corporation during the time he was on his sick bed in London.

The disclosures were made when the NNPC responded to allegations of contract fraud and insubordination raised by the Minister of State for Petroleum, Ibe Kachikwu.

But Fani-Kayode in his reaction said the report was an indication that Buhari was “greedy and corrupt.”

In a tweet on his official twitter handle, the former minister said, “You signed 648 billion naira worth of oil deals on your sickbed in London when no-one could see you. This tells me that you are greedy and corrupt.”
