‘You’re A Prodigal Son’, APGA Lambasts Ojukwu’s Son

Ahead of the November 18 governorship election in Anambra, the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has described late Chukwuemeka Ojukwu’s son, Emeka, as a ‘prodigal son’ for leaving the party.

This comes barely 24 hours after Mr. Emeka joined the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the governorship campaign of Dr. Tony Nwoye, after dumping APGA recently.

Emeka, while officially announcing his defection, had said “It is time to leave the shadows for light. Every now and then, they come out with my father’s shadow to confuse the people.”

Reacting to Emeka’s new move is the Dr. Victor Oye, APGA’s National Chairman, who strongly criticised the former for leaving a party co-founded by his late father.

“He (Emeka) is a prodigal son for now…. his root is APGA,” Oye said.

On his part, the National Coordinator APGA Media Warriors Forum, Evang Chinedu Obigwe, suggested that Emeka’s defection was money induced.

“His ill-advised and monetary induced actions pose no threat to Governor Obiano. The Governor will clinch a landslide victory at Nnewi, Ojukwu’s home town”, said Obigwe.
