Nigeria’s Supreme Court on Monday adjourned the governorship appeals of six states brought before it to Tuesday, 14 January due to the inability of the security operatives to control the crowd and the noise level in the court.
The suspension order was made by the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Tanko Muhammad.
Recall the hearing of the appeals from the governorship elections in Imo, Bauchi, Sokoto, Kano, Plateau and Benue States was scheduled to hold on Monday in the Supreme Court in Abuja.

But minutes after the hearing began, Justice Muhammad called for a suspension when noise from the crowd became uncontrollable.
