Synagogue Yet To Disclose TB Joshua’s Successor As Widow Steps Up

As of the time of this report, the Synagogue Church of all Nations (SCOAN) is yet to officially disclose the successor of its founder, Prophet Temitope Balogun Joshua, who died on June 6.

THE WHISTLER learnt that the church is preoccupied with preparations leading to a week-long programme in honor of the late cleric.

Tributes from the likes of former president Goodluck Jonathan and other well wishers were floated on its official Facebook page.

“We are currently preparing for the week-long service from Monday 5th to Sunday 11th July 2021 in honour of Prophet TB Joshua’s life and legacy. He will be laid to rest at The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations (SCOAN) in Lagos, Nigeria.

“All services will be broadcast live on Emmanuel TV. The services which will be open to the public will be communicated to you at the appropriate time,” the church had stated.

Reports had claimed that the wife of the late Nigerian pastor, Evelyn Joshua, had been declared by the elders of the SCOAN as his replacement.

Since the departure of her husband, Evelyn has been sharing encouraging words via her social media handles.

But our correspondent’s check on the official announcement channels of SCOAN, including website and social media accounts, showed that the church has yet to name TB Joshua’s replacement.

Our correspondent could not immediately ascertain whether the elders of the SCOAN were the apex authority or decision-making body of the church.

This website reports that aside from Evelyn, TB Joshua had other top ministers who usually ministered to the audience – Prophet Racine (Subordinate of Prophet T.B Joshua) and Prophetess Anne (Healing Pastoress at SCOAN), among others.

Recall that the church had stated that TB Joshua (57) passed on after speaking to the congregation on Saturday, June 5, 2021.

SCOAN also assured the general public “that nothing will stop the work of God at The SCOAN from moving on.”
