The acclaimed National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ahmed Bola Tinubu, and Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, the National Chairman of the APC, have both been fingered in Tuesday's invasion of the National Assembly by masked operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS). Some masked DSS operatives had in the early morning of yesterday besieged the National Assembly complex, preventing some of its staffers including lawmakers from gaining access to the premises. The situation, which led to the dismissal…

Against the now withdrawn October 1 quit notice handed Igbo to vacate the North, a bench warrant for the arrest of members of the Arewa Youths has been issued by a “a competent court”. This was according to the Kaduna State government which revealed the development in a statement. IPOB: Nigerian Army Dragged Before ICC Over South-East Invasion

The Nigerian military has been dragged before the International Criminal Court (ICC) for alleged “human rights abuses, torture and extra-judicial killing” of members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB). In a statement sent to our correspondent, multiple award winning journalist, Ahaoma Kanu petitioned ICC’s Chief Prosecutor in the Hagues, Fatou Bensouda and copied the Information and Evidence Unit against unlawful deployment of soldiers by the President Muhammadu Buhari-led government to the South-East region. In…

Fayose: If Northern Govs Were Allowed To Resolve Arewa’s Threats, Why Military For IPOB?

Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti state has frowned at the recent deployment of military to South-East Nigeria. Fayose, who spoke via his verified Twitter handle, wondered why the Federal Government opted for military force against Biafra agitators, when it allowed Northern governors resolve threats by Arewa Youths against Igbo in the region. “If northern governors were allowed to resolve the Arewa youths threat that that Igbo should leave the north, why not allow south-governors to resolve Kanu’s? “For whatever…

Biafra: Justice Is The First Condition Of Humanity – Pius Adesanmi

Wole Soyinka's work as a teacher of his nation and people in the last seven decades can be summed up in one word: transcendence. His entire envisioning of Nigeria – for which he has suffered persecution, deprivation, abuse, insults and other unspeakable forms of punishment – is reducible to transcendence. The tragedy of Nigeria is that there has never been a critical mass huge enough to embrace the intellectual and civic responsibilities of transcendence. Justice, Soyinka says, is the first condition of humanity.…

Buhari, If You Must Send Kanu Back To Kuje Prison, Send Arewa Youth Leaders To Kirikiri

I do not like Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB). I think he is a megalomaniac who uses his tongue to seduce impressionable Igbo men and women for an insular end. In fact, I see Kanu as an incarnate of Adolf Hitler, the late German demagogue, who wheedled his people into believing that the Jews were their problem. The IPOB leader is a hate-speech merchant, and he is paying the price for his abomination against the state. He had spent more than a year in Kuje prison, Abuja, and he is currently…

The Quest To Re-arrest Kanu: A Joke Stretched Too Far [OPINION]

On 25th August, 2017, the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) Mr. Abubakar Malami (SAN) wrote a memoir to Hon. Justice Binta Nyako beseeching the judge to revoke the bail the lordship granted the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra(IPOB) on 25th April,2017. AGF Malami pretended to pillar his irredentist-inspired memoir on Mazi Kanu’s violation of his bail conditions. A casual perusal of opinions AGF Malami’s memoir generated suggest; unintended outweighed intended consequences. And finally confirmed President…

Nnamdi Kanu’s Re-arrest: Ohanaeze Ndigbo Irked By Malami’s ‘Audacity, Bias’

The Ohanaeze Ndigbo, on Saturday, slammed Abubakar Malami, Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF), over what it described as ‘Bias’ against Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB). The pan-Igbo cultural group was reacting to AGF Malami’s call for the revocation of Kanu’s bail. President of the Ohanaeze Ndigbo, John Nwodo, wondered what “audacity with which the attorney-general displays his bias without regard to his oath of office” by calling for Kanu’s re-arrest while Ignoring Arewa Youths who…
