At least 27 people have been killed, including foreigners in an attack on a tourist hotel in the Tunisian beach resort of Sousse, according to an interior ministry official.

The interior ministry told the BBC that the terrorist attack was ongoing.
Officials said the death toll is likely to rise.

A security source at the scene said the body of one gunman armed with an assault rifle lay where police had shot him dead, another gunman is being pursued.
Sousse is one of Tunisia’s most popular beach resorts, drawing visitors from Europe and neighboring North African countries.

Tunisia has been on high alert since March when militants attacked the Bardo museum in Tunis, killing a group of foreign tourists in one of the worst attacks in a decade in the North African country..

France Attack: Man Beheaded, Two Others Left Injured.

A terrorist attack in a gas factory near the city of lyon in eastern France has left an unidentified man decapitated and two others sustaining different degrees of injuries, according to French President François Hollande.

The suspect is “somebody who was in touch with (Muslim fundamentalist) Salafists,” French Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve said. French authorities are working to identify any other person(s) that may have been involved in the attack.

The AFP news agency has reportly had access to CCTV footage from the moment of the explosion.  “The victim’s head (…) was put on the fence by his presumed assassin,” the agency reported. Salhi then “took over the wheel of the truck and crashed into the gas cylinders, causing an explosion”.
 
A team of firefighters who were called to help were then accosted by Salhi who screamed ‘Allahou Akbar’, which means “God is greatest” in Arabic. “The firefighters then managed to contain the scene until the police arrived,” the AFP reported. 
 

Victim was suspect’s boss: reports

BFM TV are reporting that the victim was actually the Yassin Salhi’s boss. This has not been confirmed. The origin of the report is AFP who are quoting a source close to the probe.

 

Kuwait Attack: Dozens Killed, ISIS Claims

Inside The Al-Sadiq mosque Mosque After The Blast.

A bomb exploded in a Kuwaiti Mosque during killing unidentified number of people and injuring several others. This happened while several worshippers were settled inside Shiite-affiliated Al-Sadiq mosque observing Friday prayers, Kuwaiti state media has reported.

ISIS has already claimed responsibility for the attack but the number of victims has not been ascertained as at the time of filing this report.  But the terrorist group has put the number of dead and injured in the dozens.

According to CNN, “Cell phone video posted to social media and apparently shot at the mosque showed worshippers walking and stumbling through a dust- and rubble-filled interior, many with their white robes splattered in what appeared to be blood.”

The Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah visited the scene amid emergency of the Cabinet and parliament, the Kuwait News Agency reported.

Yaqoub Al-Sanea, Kuwaiti’s Justice and Islamic Affairs minister, called the attack “a terrorist and criminal act that threatens our security and targets our national unity,” the news agency reported.
