Terrorism/Banditry: Shehu Sani Calls For CDF To Assist Security Agencies

Former Senator representing Kaduna Central in the Senate, Shehu Sani, on Tuesday advocated the urgent establishment of a Citizens Defence Force (CDF).

Sani, who stated this on his twitter handle, said this was necessary to complement the efforts of security agencies to protect the people under the onslaught of kidnappers, bandits and terrorists across the country.

He said, “Citizens Defence Force CDF, is urgently needed to complement the efforts of security agencies to protect the people under the siege of kidnappers, bandits and terrorists.

In Kaduna, the home state of the former senator, Kaduna-South is currently on siege of consistent attacks by gunmen, leaving in their wake, severe bloodbath.

The military currently has the complement of the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) in combating Boko Haram terrorists in the North East.

Citizens Defence Force CDF,is urgently needed to compliment the efforts of security agencies to protect the people under the siege of Kidnappers,Bandits and Terrorists.
